IDV Court

It’s not usual for criminal charges to arise from family conflict.

In 2003, New York established the Integrated Domestic Violence Court (“IDV Court”), designed to have a single judge preside over multiple cases between family members, where one case involves criminal charges.

In the past, divorcing couples had to deal with court appearances in different courthouses, with different judges, which often resulted in conflicting decisions. This is no longer the case.

IDV Court is unique. I’m very experienced handling criminal matters and divorces – in each of their separate courts and in IDV Court. I have the experience and skills necessary resolve the many thorny issues that arise in divorces, such as:
